The department of Civil Engineering
established in the year 1958 with an intake of 60 students for
B.Tech course, have grown to accommodate more than 400 students
undergoing B.Tech and M.Tech programmes. The department has well
equipped laboratories in all the major disciplines like Material
testing, Geo-technical, Environmental, Transportation and
Surveying. Also, the students are given ample exposure for
better computing facilities in order to equip them towards more
competitive emerging scenarios. In addition to these, the Govt.
of Kerala has recognised this Civil Engineering Department as an
authorised testing centre for all types of building materials.
And faculty in this departments are actively involved in various
research and consultancy activities. |
